I love the way you compare life to a dance, and adapting to change to learning new steps...with your children as partners.

Just wait until they're teenagers and they sleep till noon!

I'm new to this site and loving it. So nice to "meet" you.
I love this post. It's so true how long it takes to adjust, and then adjust again. It takes some of us longer than others to accept that! :)

I only wish I could get my 2yr.old to sleep past 7am. On a good day it's 7:30 and I think he has slept until 830 ONLY two times, EVER. And I was home for only one of those...
Sigh, I miss sleeping:)
But ya know even when I got to go away for the first time I was up even earlier and missing him like crazy so go figure right?
It is so true that once the children arrive no matter how old they are you will never sleep soundly again, barring any chemical methods that is...

So true and well written.

I have 3 separate dances going on in our house, and it is rare for everyone to coincide with what they consider to be a decent bedtime which results in what I consider to be a reasonable waking time!

And then we will have the teenage years to look forward too!
