I don't know that it's much harder to be honest. I grew up (ha I'm grown?!) where we faced the same problems. Yet I think our parents sheltered us from a lot of those things by limiting our media. Also, I would like to say I finally broke down and am using the google reader thing. It's ok thus far but not very helpful for when I WANT to waste time. 1.
