My grade 1er is learning to tell time. He got a watch for his birthday and has been announcing the time every few minutes. It's working well for us because when we say that piano lessons are at 6pm, he knows exactly what we are talking about...he can't argue that it's not time yet!!!

My 5 year old is singing. May not seem like such a big deal but he never sings....not even in church. He just sits - learns the words but never makes any noise. We have been watching High School Musical (1&2) and my boys love all of the singing and dancing...now we hear the 5 year old singing 'getchyer head in the game'...it's very funny!

2 year old is talking NON STOP. Her ability to communicate astounds me and it's amazing how much she recalls and is able to process at such a young age.

Love all these ages and stages. What fun!

LOL, your video story reminds me of a video we had of one of my sisters, singing a song about the "three opossums" (that would be the twelve apostles). Last week, we showed that to my husband and BIL (though, sadly, not that sister's husband).

It is funny that you brought this topic up. Over the weekend my son, who is now seven, wanted to watch videos of himself when he was younger. I used to have him sing songs, or say prayers or tell stories. I had him tell a story about the three bears and it is so precious and cute. I am so grateful I did that because it was such a treat to revisit that with him. I had to translate because I knew all of the three-year-old-ism pronunciations.

My son has been learning to read this year. He is in first grade and reading at a third grade level. This has opened up a whole new world to him and he seems so hungry to learn. He is asking more questions about what words mean, how they fit together, etc. Sometimes he will say something so grown up it blows me away. "Mom, the moon looks kind of nocturnal tonight." "Mom, did you know that your heart pushes all of the blood through your body?" It is fun to hear you talk about your son.

Warmest Regards :)
